Flawless Execution Starts with a Clear and Flexible Plan.

Most training companies measure success in class evaluation scores. We measure success when you improve execution. Our Planning Workshop provides your team with the foundation of Flawless Execution℠.

This is not an academic classroom discussion on planning. Your team is not going to learn ABOUT planning - your team will actually plan! You'll create a 90-day Execution Plan using the same tools we use as Fighter Pilots, but that's only the beginning. When you leave our workshop, you know who is going to do what and by when. But you're not finished, and neither are we.

Drive Execution with 30-60-90 Debriefing.

We are going to schedule Debriefs every 30 days with you and your team to make sure the plan is getting executed properly. We can do this via conference call, in person, or a combination of both. We call this 30-60-90 Debriefing℠. Problems happen. Your people get task-saturated. They run into roadblocks and forget priorities. The Fighter Pilots plan for this, and so will you.

During these Debriefs, an Afterburner Fighter Pilot helps you keep your team "On Mission". We will help you identify what's working and what's not along the way. Your world is always changing, and your plan needs to flex with these changes to stay on track. We'll help you do this by giving you the outside accountability and close leadership support you need to lead execution. When the plan is complete, we will hold a comprehensive nameless, rankless Debrief and put the Lessons Learned right into your next planning cycle.

Workshop Timeline:

Time Session Description
9:00 AM Flawless Execution Review Your team has seen the Flawless Execution ModelSM. Now it's time to go a little deeper.
10:00 Threats and Resources After reviewing your Mission Objective, your team will identify the greatest threats that stand in the way of Success. From this point, your team will assign specific Resources to defeat these Threats.
10:30 Lessons Learned Are there any Lessons Learned from previous Missions that would directly apply to this Plan? These Lessons Learned will be referenced continually throughout the day.
10:45 Break
11:00 Courses of Action Your team will brainstorm Courses of Action / Tactics that could be employed to accomplish the Mission. After selecting a final Course of Action, your team will work backward from the desired outcome to create Mission milestones.
11:30 Working Lunch
12:15 PM Develop the Timeline Now it's time to build an Execution Timeline. Your team will determine: Who is going to do what, by when and how you are going to measure the success of each tactic.
12:45 Red Team Once the "Perfect Plan" and timeline are thought to be complete, you will be assigning a Red Team to attack its potential weaknesses and seek ways to improve the Plan.
2:00 Contingencies Your team will Plan for the three types of contingencies: timeline contingencies, results contingencies and external contingencies.
2:30 Briefing Review The group will review briefing techniques and the Afterburner BRIEF format.
2:45 Prep & Practice Briefings You will convert the team's Corporate Mission Plan into a PowerPoint Briefing format that can be presented to the troops.
3:00 Break
3:30 Give Briefing(s) The Briefing(s) will be presented.
4:00 Wrap-Up Concluding remarks and points to ponder.
