ENPRO Cites Afterburner's Execution Training as Source of Their Success
An afterburner provides additional thrust to fighter jets by igniting their fuel with the remaining oxygen after hot gases pass through their turbines. Appropriately, the term also refers to a global group of retired fighter pilots who provide consulting with regard to business strategy and execution.
EnPro and Afterburner have been working together for nearly two years to find ways to "get stuff done". They also help GGB and EnPro to assess our future and define where we should be in five years. Whereas many consultants' work ends at this point, Afterburner has trained us in methodologies for executing against our defined strategies to "make things happen".
Using proven survival techniques, they are leading us in our next stage of growth. A number of initiatives are currently underway to help us achieve our sales growth objectives, introduce Kanban throughout the company and accelerate prototyping. The sky's the limit, provided we give these initiatives our full support.
